KIDS COUNT, a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, is a national and state-by-state effort to track that status of children in the U.S. By providing policymakers and citizens with benchmarks of child well-being, KIDS COUNT seeks to enrich local, state, and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children.

Bright Futures at Georgetown University is a national health promotion initiative dedicated to the principle that every child deserves to be healthy and that optimal health involves a trusting relationship between the health professional, the child, the family, and the community as partners in health practice. The Bright Futures initiative is focused at the American Academy of Pediatrics and a collaborative of other federally- and State-funded Bright Futures projects.
